We have a lot of love & respect for Assemblyman Jose Rivera! See, most of our Club members, like Mr Rivera are "oldtimers:" that we believe gives us the extra right to stand up and demand that we, as Bronxites" deserve better services.
That was the message in 1982 , when he was representating The South Bronx as an Assemblyman! Today, 30 years later, in the 78th Assembly District, where he runs for re-election, he feels no different today.
Naomi Rivera, his daughter has not been able to "conjure up" the same magic as her father. Sadly, she has been with a deadlocked Bronx Democratic Electorial Boards in which many have called "hypocritical " since 2006.
We left our Executive position in 2006 with The Club "Liberty Democratic Association" because of this reason. Executive Board Member of LDA, Diane Cerino has NOW LEFT as well and joined The Mark Gonjaj Campaign.
We were asked and retained by Mark to provide petition assistance for him and The NWB Gremlins got him over 1400 Signatues in Norwood and the surroundinfg communities. Because Mark received over 4200 total - this 35% increase shows that Norwood is ready for New & Non Conflicting representation.
It is no secret that Mr Kenny Agosto, District Leader of The 80th and running WITH Naomi Rivera, along with The LDA Slate, has been having a hard time ALL OVER THE DISTRICT-justifying his decision for NOT RUNNING against Naomi despite promising the Club on 2 occasions (including fundraising events) that he would.
