Assemblyman Jose Rivera, Vice Chair of 100 Democrats Robert Press
& Chairman of 100 Democrats Ricardo Martinez
Now in The Northwest Bronx, After the demise (by The Community) of Pedro Espada, Vice Chair of The Committee of 100 Democrats & Riverdalian Robert Press (The Committee supported Espada) wants to take over Ricky Martinez Campaign. Actually Ricky is letting him!
He believes, and stated in a recent conversation, that he believes Mr Press and The Committee can guide him better than "NWB Democrats" and "Rising Voices", led by Richard Soto.
After these "scathing attacks" on Assemblyman Rivera, we have notified Mr Martinez & Mr Soto that we WILL NOT ENDORSE any campaign, run by outsiders!
While NWB Democrats was proud to assist in Phase 1 of the Campaign, bringing in over 1200 signatures. we will NOT assist in ANY Phase 2 activities unless Robert Press is removed as Campaign Chair due to his media attacks and continual conflicts of interest. Some examples of his sloppiness are below and sadly published in The Bronx News Publications.
